With the holy month of Ramadan around the corner, where millions Muslims around the world unify in observance of one of the Five Pillars of Islam. We request the pleasure of your company at the Wandsworth Iftar Dinner in observance of this special month of Ramadan on Tuesday 14th May 2019 at Wandsworth Civic Suite, Wandsworth High Street, SW18 2PU, from 18:00 to 22:00.
Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar when Muslims begin fasting from dawn to sunset. It is a time where Muslims improve moral character, reflect on their spirituality and improve their lifestyle.
This Ramadan event will be hosted by various Muslim organisations from Wandsworth to further the agenda of cohesion within the community. It is to share our similarities with Wandsworth residents and celebrate our differences. The month of Ramadan also makes a fantastic opportunity to promote health at the heart of communities during an event which is highly important to us.
The inspirational evening will have short presentations, heart melting Quran recitation, exhibition, stalls and a mouth watering banquet.
