What is Poverty in the UK?
Wednesday 27 January 2016 ,[London, United Kingdom]
Since the financial crisis and subsequent
government crisis, we’ve heard more and more about the rise of poverty and
inequality in the UK. But what does it actually mean to live in poverty in the
UK?
Join us on Wednesday 27 January 2016 from
6:45pm in Central London for a series of flash talks from organisations that
work on the frontline and help some of the most vulnerable and marginalised people
in our society. You will be able to hear about the challenges and struggles
that people living in poverty face on a daily basis, and the crucial support
provided to them by these organisations.
We will be announcing the speakers at this
event in the weeks leading up to this event.
Doors will open at 6:30pm and we will start
promptly at 7:00pm. This event will take place at Regent Hall, 275 Oxford
St, London W1C 2DJ.
Tickets cost £5 plus booking fees and can
be booked here: http://whatispovertyintheuk.eventbrite.co.uk
