Muslim Engagement and Development (MEND) is organizing an event for women of Waltham Forest. We hope that Muslim women – who are at a higher risk of Islamophobic attacks than men – will come together to discuss their own experiences with Islamophobia and join MEND in developing strategies to overcome this.
The event will entail a presentation on the causes and cures of Islamophobia, followed by an introduction to MEND’s work, and the contribution that women in Waltham forest can make to MEND’s working group in Waltham Forest. We welcome your input, and look forward to meeting you. Sisters: let’s take this opportunity to use our voices, and to speak on our own behalf.
