Help Us Feed the Homeless: ISB

The Islamic Society of Britain (ISB) are looking to support the homeless on Boxing Day (26th Dec) in London.

At this important time of year, the Muslims of Britain have volunteered to support those most in need by providing a free hot evening meal for residents and staff across several shelters in central London. We would like to bring a group of 5-10 volunteers to help setup, serve and provide a friendly face on Boxing day to shelters in London.

As a brief intro to the Islamic Society of Britain:

  • Founded 25 years ago, the Society is a membership based charity open to all British Muslims who wish to contribute to British society
  • Our charitable aims are; to improve relations between British Muslims and all British citizens; to improve understanding of Islam amongst all British citizens; to engage British Muslims in social action to help improve British society

We have branches across the country. Some, like in Leicester, have food collection programmes for the homeless all year round. In Manchester and London this Christmas we are starting new initiatives to provide support to the homeless. In London this means providing food and a friendly face on Boxing Day.  We hope to do this more regularly in London in future and build positive relations with homeless charities in London.
