Healing Minds is an event focusing on mental health & wellbeing issues within marriage and the family unit. The event will take place in a traditional country house hotel set in a beautiful and tranquil location.
This is a chance for you to hear from and engage with trained counsellors and life coaches, gaining valuable advice and guidance.
Mental Health issues can be problematic and can cause rifts and marriages to break down. Come and hear how you can help and support each other through these issues, how to build stronger relationships and learn about the Muslim professional help there is available to you.
FGM is another important topic we will be addressing, highlighting the devastating effects it can have on relationships, families and how it can affect mental health.
Short bios on our guest speakers:
Wajeeha Amin is a Relationship coach and Wellbeing Expert. She takes a holistic approach to wellbeing that encourages self-belief and equips clients with the tools to continue unlocking their potential long after their sessions end. Much of Wajeeha’s coaching work is adapted to suit the needs of each client, incorporating personal and professional values in an engaging and effective way, utilising Psychotherapeutic counselling, Hypnotherapy and Neuro-Linguistic Programming to understand the connections between physical and mental wellbeing. Over the last 15 years Wajeeha has worked in varied roles ranging from working within the NHS, social care and education settings, as well as in private practice.
Mayameen Meftahi is a Psychotherapist and NLP Life Coach, founder of The Tulip Trust, empowering women to realise their potential with a range of support services and NLP Courses.
She is also an Advocate against FGM, Violence and oppression to women and has been leading her successful campaign 'FGM in Islam'.
Kathleen Roche-Nagi - Managing Director of Approachable Parenting,
Licensed trainer and one of the developers of “The Five Pillars of Parenting†4-11 years and pregnancy to 3 years programmes.Kathleen works to improve parenting skills and education, reducing child behaviour and emotional problems, and increasing secure attachment and bonding within families.
Samir Malik - Artist, Calligrapher, Designer, Photographer and Coach, Samir Malik has worked with international corporations, royalty, galleries, schools and individuals world wide.
He is acknowledged as one of the pioneers of the current revival and reinvention of Islamic Calligraphy in the west, has exhibited internationally and his art, designs and photography have been featured in periodicals and books along with frequent appearances in television.
His art is part of the UK National Collection and is held in private collections all over the globe.
He is a fully qualified NLP & Hypnotherapy coach and mentor, specialising in working with artists, children and young adults as well families experiencing challenges in life and relationships
