FUNDAMENTALS OF TAJWEED- RULES FOR THE CORRECT RECITATION OF THE QUR'AN IN ARABIC.
It is a must to recite the Qur'an in Arabic using the correct rules of pronounciation (Tajweed) such as knowing where to prolong a vowel (Madd), pronounce from the nose (Ghunnah) and differentiating the various letter sounds (Makharij) etc.
You will learn the basic rules of Tajweed from scratch with miminal technicalaliies. Participants will also get the chance to listen to and rehearse the last few short Surahs with Tajweed.

Cost: £15 or £25 for two people/ 2 seminars.

* Hafiz Abdullah Muhammad studied in an Islamic School and also memorised the Qur’an by heart. He is a trained RE teacher and lawyer, and studied postgraduate Islamic Studies at SOAS and Al-Azhar University. He is the author of ‘The Best of Times in Islam’ (2002) and pioneered the annual Ramadan Course 'Journey Through the Quran' (JTQ) which he has delivered at Birkbeck College since 2008.
