Arakan is now fully booked for the screening of Freesia!
They will however be putting people on a reserve list in case anyone cancels their booking, so feel free to get in touch if you wish to attend and they will offer any cancelled seats on a first come, first serve basis.
Bradford UNESCO City of Film and Arakan Creative would like to invite you to the
Bradford Premiere of
‘Freesia’
A multi-narrative journey that weaves between three families living in present-day Bradford. Dealing with women's rights, mosques and the far-right, three young protagonists find themselves propelled into the world of prejudice when their paths collide.
The film has screened at a number of film festivals around the world and has so far attained 5 official selections
1) Miami Independent Film Fest (Mindie)
2) Los Angeles CineFest
3) Equality International Film Festival (Sacramento, California)
4) Focus International Film Festival (USA)
5) International Filmmaker Festival of World Cinema, London - in which Freesia was nominated in 3 categories:
- Best Original Screenplay for Feature Film
- Best Original Score
- Best Director
And has also won an 'Award of Merit' from the Accolade Global Film Competition (San Diego, USA)
