The exhibition will conclude the work we have been doing with Women of colour and faith in Glasgow around ending misconceptions of mental health issues that can be wrongfully attributed to things such as Jinn and Black Magic.
This will take the form of a visual art piece created in collaboration with the participants from the workshops accompanied by a soundscape of stories that were gathered from them.
By hosting this exhibition, we hope to end misconceptions amongst Muslim and BME communities regarding mental health issues, as well as informing the medical practitioners and service providers of the issues that individuals from a minority background may be facing.
